The World Health Organization as of April, 29th, 2009 reports a world-wide total of 7 deaths out of 236 cases of swine flu. This number includes figures from all countries. http://bit.ly/1a364w

Let’s look at what this means.

The world population is 6.77 billion out of which there are 236 cases and 7 deaths. This means that 1 out of every 29 million people has caught the swine flu, and about 1 out of a billion people have died from the swine flu. Compare this to the total of 56 million deaths per year world wide (which equals 152,000 deaths a day). http://bit.ly/fUMLa

So, are we all going to die? Yes, eventually.

Will we die or even get sick with the swine flu? Very probably not.

So, the recommendation is to do things that will keep you healthy from a wide variety of diseases and illnesses. Washing your hands and using a tissue or a handkerchief when sneezing helps prevent all sorts of infections. Eating well not only helps prevent disease, it makes you feel better right away. And enjoying a good laugh with some friends, well, can it get any better than that?
